About Us
About Us
Curijudi Services is a majority Indigenous-owned organisation, committed to delivering meaningful impact through ICT services. Founded to play a part in Closing the Gap, our work goes beyond business—we focus on creating employment opportunities, fostering self-sufficiency, and strengthening Indigenous communities.
Our story is rooted in the legacy of Rev. Cyril D. Turner of the Wonnarua and Worimi, father of our founder, Matthew Turner. Over 40 years ago, Rev. Turner purchased a small property in the Southern Highlands of NSW named Curijudi. The property became a place of cultural pride, where his family and mob could reconnect with the land, honour their Elders, and celebrate their heritage—something Rev. Turner was denied for much of his life. His enduring vision of preserving culture and empowering future generations lives on through Curijudi Services.
Matthew, inspired by this legacy, established Curijudi to extend that same sense of empowerment to Indigenous communities across Australia. With a strong connection to culture and community, he envisioned an organisation that would create pathways for sustainable growth and preserve Indigenous knowledge while promoting social and economic progress.
At Curijudi, our values are centred around creating value, building strong partnerships, sharing knowledge, and ensuring positive outcomes for Indigenous people. We work closely with community-controlled organisations, governments, and businesses that share our commitment to Closing the Gap. We are firm in our resolve to avoid partnerships that engage in ‘black cladding’ or tokenism, ensuring every collaboration results in meaningful, measurable benefits for Indigenous communities.
Every service we provide fuels this mission, supporting government and private clients while generating opportunities for Indigenous advancement. By promoting employment pathways, working with Elders to pass down knowledge, and providing strategic advice to community organisations, we strive to build long-term impact. For us, success means more than meeting business objectives—it’s about creating a stronger, inclusive future where Indigenous communities thrive.
What we hope to achieve for our Community
Our main areas of focus for our Community include but are not limited to:
- providing support for employment pathways for Indigenous people
- working with local Indigenous organisations to provide support and assistance
- assist Indigenous groups to instill capability within their organisation
- providing assistance, guidance, advice and support to Indigenous organisations, to help them grow organically and to run independently
- working with Indigenous Elders to ensure culture and tradition are passed on to younger generations, to ensure that they have the tools and knowledge to pass on the same to future generations
- working with governments at all levels to provide them with a guidance and advice on Indigenous matters and issues pertaining to Closing the Gap.
- working towards closing the gap and in particular seeing progress in areas which are unlikely to or haven’t met expected targets.
Our organisation aims to fund its community support initiatives and programs through our service offerings. Our community support programs are deliberately focused on the areas where the support is needed most. Where real impacts and significant change will enhance the lives of Indigenous people.
